Um, why don't you try just going to sleep.

If anything, the thyroid medication should help your fatigue. It is normal to feel sleepy in the afternoon. After you eat lunch blood leaves the brain to go to the gut and work on digestion. Then there is the dip in energy caused by a normal circadian rhythm. It may not help you this semester, but plan to schedule your tougher classes for a time of day when you are more alert next semester. When I was in college I used to plan my schedule around a favorite daytime soap opera. Maybe you could schedule yours around a siesta.

Is your iron low? Check this out to make sure you're not running on 'half a tank' or something. Are you getting enough exercise?
Alternatively, maybe your lifestyle is just so busy that your body just needs the rest.

Too many possible explanations. Need a doctor, but one who will actually talk to you, not prescribe whatever crap the drug rep left behind on her last visit.
If you can find a doc who specializes (do they exist?) in this, it will make life easier.
Literally.

Its your body telling you to sleep. If you really need to stay awake for some reason, try strong coffee, a cold shower or a quick jog.
