Good question. I think adults just want to see their kids as mature and intelligent young adults. But the truth is, you must savor every moment of childhood. After about your mid 20's things start to slow down little by little and time seems to fly by faster and faster. Its never fun when you regret not being able to act like a kid when you actually were a kid!

I truly don't know. I'm always told to cherish my "years as a teenager" but whenever I do something even remotely childish I get screamed at my about a thousand different morons. And you know what sucks? Everything that is fun is most likely to be considered childish (no matter how stupid/dangerous it is) I don't get some people.

Because when your an adult Its not as easy as being a kid so you want to stay a kid as long as you can. Dont bring problems on you let them come to you. As for The growing up part, dont act like an idiot!!!!

because becoming an adult comes too soon. they want you to stay a kid forever but stop with all the childish ways. and i agree. stay a kid as long as you can cos life itself comes barreling in on you once you hit the adult stage. especially responsibilities. i swear, it'll hit ya right between the eyes.

i really dont know why they say that. but i all ways tell ppl (mostly when i act like a kid) im 18 going on 2. but for my age im very mature, so i would have to agree with the kid at heart and an adult mind.

Mostly the women I date tell me I act like a kid & to grow up!-no one has told me to stay a kid, if any thing I'd tell myself that!(that's why I refuse to get married, start a family & have responsabilities!)

being an adult can be pretty crap... Like having to pay bills and going to work every day to keep a roof over your own head! Its fun when you think about it as a kid... but when you actually get there.... YIKES... stay a kid as long as you can... dont rush it... you'll get older soon enough...

So true I caught myself doing that to my kids LOL but just dont rush into being an adult being a kid is fun trust me
