What extra steps if any are nessecary when filing for divorce when the other spouce lives in a seperate state?

Depends on state, but usually it only takes longer to serve the other spouse in another state. Knowing current addresses will help but it could take some time if they cant be located. The courts will tell you what steps to take if any in accomplishing this. You must meet the state requirements for residency to file for divorce otherwise you may have to file in the other state

Usually you can go to the court house and ask then if they have an attorney who comes in once a week for free and gives advice to first come first serve. Usually, as long as you send in the inforamtion according to the state you were married, you will be fine.

if you're legally separated then usually the words of the criminal settlement might want to look after him from debt you've incurred because the separation. Joint debt from the marriage might want to all be his in case you've been to die earlier the divorce separates it out, until eventually the separation settlement has already chop up it, legally. or perhaps then, i'm no longer particular.
