Start to exercise. You need to do cardio work which means things like jogging, brisk walking, aerobics, swimming, anything that elevates your heart rate. Rent or buy a workout tape and give it a try, or get a stop watch, set it for 20 minutes and go outside and run, or walk or do both right before dinner or right after homework every night - EVERY NIGHT!!!

Also, start looking at what you eat every day. If you need to, keep a food journal. Write down everything that you consume all day long and take an honest look at it. Is there anything that you could have done differently. Did you have 5 Oreos, instead of just the 2 that the serving size says you should have eaten? Did you have 2 helpings of dinner instead of stopping at just 1? What did you snack on? Was it potato chips or did you grab an apple or a banana or an orange instead?

It can take a long time to retrain your brain about making good food choices. And it can take about 2 weeks for your body to adjust to smaller portions and to stop sending you the "OH MY GOD I'M STARVING PLEASE FEED ME!" signal to your brain. When you lessen yoru calories and portions, your body thinks that you're taking away its energy supply and gives you the message that you better start eating more, but what you have to do is retrain your brain to accept that you are eating plenty, and your body will adjust accordingly.

Whatever you do, don't start skipping meals or practicing any shady dieting fads. You can lose the weight by making exercise a priority (even if it isn't super duper fun) and by controlling what you eat every day. It's okay to treat yourself to desserts and pizza but make those sometimes foods, not every day foods. good luck!

Sometimes there's some really easy things to cut from your diet that can make a big difference. For instance, I know some people who simply stopped drinking soda and juice drinks and found out that was the majority of their caloric intake.

If you snack a lot, try to be on the same page as your parents about having only healthy snacks around. If you have lots of ice cream and cookies on hand, its super easy to eat them. Try to have snacks of other things, like fruits and veggies.

If you have trouble with portions try to eat off of smaller plates, you'll wind up taking smaller amounts. And try to eat slower, sometimes I know I scarf down my food and realize later I wasn't even hungry anymore.

DRINK WATER! water is great for you and has also been said to help things process in your body for efficient metabolism.

Commit to exercising each day. The way to lose weight is to expend more calories than you intake. However you still need to take in a healthy amount. Remember if you try not to eat and you're that hungry, your body will think it's not going to get food often and it will make an effort to STORE everything you then do it. So don't starve.

Just think out your schedule and definitely make an effort to fit in exercise.

Exercise, let me explain how to make it easy. Usually people dont like the work out cos its a pain and kind of strains you out. Well thats cos you focus on the exercise.
My solution is that you get on a treadmill with a book or watch TV or a movie or listen to music (iPod).... basically do anything that is the most entertaining thing practical that you can do. I also suggest trying audio books cos you dont have to strain your eyes but enjoy the lengthy entertainment provided by books! (It will leave you burning fat for at least an hour a day ATLEAST!)
Remember to eat healthy (not starve yourself) and increase ur excersise little at a time. (start with 15-30min workout and increase 5-10 min a day). Also dont eat between meals and watch the calorie stickers on food products (make sure to see the quality that the calorie figure represents, i.e. coke is usually 40-50cals/100ml that means approx 150+cals per TIN).

Good Luck and take care.

You're 14 and you're going through puberty. The weight you have on you is weight your body needs at this point in your life. By dieting and exercising, you're messing with the system.

Girls who try to lose weight at this age usually gain DOUBLE the weight back by the time they are 20. Also, girls your age who diet tend to have fertility problems later on when they want to get pregnant. It also increases your chance of getting things like diabetes.

And last but not least, 96% of girls who diet at this age have an eating disorder by the time they are 18.

75 lbs. is alot of weight. It is very unhealthy to lose that much in 8 months. If you have concerns about your weight, you should be consulting your parents and your doctor.

the same way women lose weight. You just have to remember that yr body are still growing.
Just change the way you eat..tell your parents that you want to lose some weight, im sure they wont mind buying you healthier food--if u cook it yourself. Just run a lot...don't over work yourself though.. Do it everyday as much as ya can. Once you are use to it, then do crunches, sit ups, push ups... yoga possibly.
Good luck

Try to eat more fruits and veggies. Starving yourself can kill u so dont try that. Exercise. Go for a jog every morning for at least an hour.
You would lose about 5lbs in about 3 days as long as u do as instructed. GOOD LUCK : )

what I do is the lemon juice diet. What it is lemons, cayenne pepper, and 100% real maple syrup. you use 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 lemon and 1 table spoon of syrup in 64 fl oz of water a day. Do it for 10 days you can not eat not one bite of food those 10 days. twice a day drink a super dieter's tea called Laci Le Beau. you will see results in three days.
