have fuel pressure checked, after trying a new crankshaft sensor(cheap)

see if it will run with a little gas or starting fluid sprayed down the TBI unit inside of it

if it will run for a few seconds then its a fuel issue, i bet you the pump is toast, common problem on TBI vehicles

the pump is inside the fuel tank you will have to drop it, two straps and a few hoses hold it up, not a real big deal for someone who knows how to use tools otherwise its a couple or few hundred dollalr job at a shop, a new pump will be around 50 or 70 bucks, check price at autozone.com or advanceauto.com

good luck

From what you have described it sounds like you may need to replace your timing chain/belt. One way to check this, before actually doing all the removal required to get to the timing chain, is to remove the valve cover and rotate the crankshaft to the zero point as indicated by the pointer and line on the block and harmonic balancer respectively. If the timing chain is ok you should see that the intake and exhaust valves on the number one cylinder are in the closed position. This can be verified by checking for play in the rocker arms. This is not a true definitive test as the timing chain may not be that far off but from the problem you described and the age of the vehicle, the timing chain is the most likely suspect.

does the fuel pump stay running after the engine quits? You should be able to hear it running up to 15 seconds after engine quits. If you can not hear it,check the fuel pump relay,if it works, check your oil pressure sending unit as it supplies power to the fuel pump after the relay turns off

Try balancing the tires first.
