Im facinated by the bigger felines like tigers and lions, so the closet thing to that is a cat. I also love dogs, so am I less of a man (of course Im not, but thats the preception in society) because I like cats?

I never could understand why it was ok for a guy to have a dog, but a cat ..... well that would make you a wimp or weird.Not in my opinion though.I look at the bigger felines in both a masculine and feminine way.They are aggressive and deadly yet graceful and stealth.I guess a house cat could be perceived in the same manner.I hate how cats get treated. My boyfriend use to hate them until we moved in together, now he likes them more than dogs.In fact its gotten so bad that whenever a stray shows up around our house he feeds them and now its starting to look like an animal shelter.I don't find it strange for you or him to like cats. I think its sweet.

I'm a man (and quite a "manly man" at that, if I do say so myself) and I love cats. Being a man and loving cats have nothing to do with each other - there are women who are very feminine who love dogs and that doesn't make them any less ladylike.

Cats are preditory, sly, & sneaky - much like a lot (notice I didnt say "most") men. Therefore, most men are threatened by cats. Because you love them it says a lot for you character. You are honest & secure in yourself & no doubt very intelligent. Good for you.

My husband is one of the manliest men I know and he's the one who's always briging home the stray kitties. A man who likes and cares for ANY pet is generally more responsible and kind hearted.

No. My lover likes cats and our cat loves him to death and actually goes to look for him. Our household has me and my three daughters and my lover. That darn cat (male) chooses him all the time and "courts" him.
