I have this "object" with "FOUR THINGS" on it, if I cut off "ONE THING" it then has "FIVE THINGS"!!! What are the "THINGS"????

the first thing is a square and you cut of a corner. You are left with a pentagon.

so it should be like this

"I have this square with 4 corners on it, if I cut off one corner it then has five sides."

It is a 2-dimensional shape. If you cut the corner of a quadrilateral, you will end up with an irregular pentagon, and if you cut the corner of a pentagon, you'll get a hexagon, and so on.

"Things" = "Corners"

I have this square or rectangle with four corners on it.
If I cut off one corner, it then has five corners!!!
