Fire- a self-sustaning odication process accompanied by heat and light in the form of a glow or flames.
Lightning- an atmospheric discharge of electricity. This usually occurs when there are too many positively charged electrons in the air and they need a negatively charged area to travel to, the ground. (opposites attract) The path that the electricity takes down to earth is the lightning that you and I see.

Fire is a self-sustaining oxidation process accompanied by heat and light in the form of a glow or flames. The word fire is commonly used to describe either a fuel in a state of combustion (such as a campfire or a fire in a fireplace or kitchen stove) or an instance of violent, destructive and uncontrolled burning (such as a wildfire and fires in buildings and vehicles). Since the discovery of making fire by humans, fire has been considered one of the most powerful, and important elements in the progression of humankind.
A conflagration is a large, uncontrollable fire, whether an urban fire that affects many buildings, or a rural fire that burns many acres. The phenomenon of the firestorm often fuels such large fires.

Hi. Fire is caused by having heat, fuel, and air together at once. Lightning is caused by friction within clouds which builds static electricity up until the voltage exceeds the air's insulation.
