With the Tigers acquisition of Sheffield, does this show that The Tigers are serious about winning and become a high-class team like the Yankees, Red Sox, Mets, Cards, White Sox?

Yes, it definately does. They have showed it recently before as well, going out and getting guys like Pudge Rodriguez, Kenny Rogers, and Magglio Ordonez. And with this acquisition, they filled the one glaring hole they had, which was a power home-run hitter who can fit into the middle of the lineup. If you remember from the World Series, they had trouble putting up runs.

I think the GM Dave Dombrowski is trying to make this team a force to reckon with for many, many years.

Sheffield is a cancer as you'll find out. He rarely plays full out and when he does he wants that in your face. Yes he's a good offensive weapon but will he be the player to put the Tigers over the top, no way. The Tigers are a high class team without the likes of Sheffield. I think you're the AL champions?

after leaving any team gary sheffiled has only spoken highly of one of his managers. want a clue? okay. it's now his current manager. eveyone in the the world has a different personality. gary's is unique. but it can just take one man to understand such personalities, and that man is jim leyland. he's managed some of the world's biggest headcases over the years, and never had a problem with any of them. infact, most of these guys appreciate the way leyland runs the show. pudge had numerous problems over his first 3 years in the D with tram, jim shows up, problems over. ordonez was another guy that managers have clashed with over the years. with jimmy, no problems. he knows people and he knows how to get through big heads. he is one of the most respected and liked managers in the league's history. there is even minimal talk that barry bonds would come to detroit, only, only to play with leyland again ( he would also have big championship hopes). but most people look at guys like barry bonds and gary sheffield as clubhouse cancers, and babies, but guess what? jim has coached these two men before and what happened? multiple playoff appearances with pittsburgh and a championship with florida. bash gary all you want, but with jim leyland running the show, gary sheffield will not be the person from recent years. think of the player he was, with the attitude he had back in 1997. yea, to answer the question..............the tigers mean business. and the best part is........dave dombrowski is far from done.

i think of each and every physique is overlooking the fact that with Dayton Moore on the helm and a injection of enthusiasm from Trey Hillman the Royals will now no longer be a team to look previous. they arrive play ball and play it aggressively. In some weeks we'd look returned and say it wasn't the Tigers after all, those boys in blue won't be able to lose! ok so i'm getting slightly over excited. won't be able to a guy dream slightly? circulate ROYALS!!

No.

He will mostly strike out and now and then hit a monster home run.

The way he shakes the bat around at the plate is ridiculous.

It's so bad it's hard to watch.

All that to s/o??
