I saw a trailer for it on Yahoo! Kids and it looks really cool, but kind of violent a little. I read the book and I don't think it's that violent, but then again I read the 4th and that one ended up being PG-13. I really want this movie to be PG because the Harry Potter 4 is the only PG-13 movie I've seen, and I don't know if my mom will let me see another. (5 is coming out July 13 2007!!!! SO EXCITED!!!) Head over to Yahoo! Kids and go to Movies and watch the trailer for yourself. It's actually quite awesome!!

It's a pretty safe bet that it will be PG-13. It's not that violent to be R and it is not that innocent to be G.
Im sure you'll get to see it because its HARRY POTTER!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE HARRY POTTER!!!!! 226 MORE DAYS! [dont ask how i know that]

It has not been rated yet and will not be rated until it is completed most likely in the late spring or early summer of 2007. While no one can 'be positive' about its rating yet, it is a good chance that it will be PG-13. The subject matter from Goblet of Fire through the end of the series will be to dark for a PG rating.
Next time don't let other users goad you into revealing your age. It is not a good idea. I am a VERY cautious parent and I will allow my 10 year old to see the movie (with me) and offer the opportunity to my 7 year old if he wants to go but only because we read the book. Neither of the normally is allowed to see PG-13 movies before I have a chance to see them.

PG-13!!!!!!! This is going to be a GREAT MOVIE!!!!!!! I love Harry Potter MOVIES!!! The movie should Not get high than PG-13, the 4th was not bad, do i do not know why that was not PG, well...

Violence & Gore EditHistory In the beginning of the film, dementors attack Harry and Dudley. They attempt to strangle both of them and suck out their souls. Dudley's face turns a ghastly white, but Harry performs a magic spell and saves him. The scenes where Harry is teaching students to fight in Dumbledore's Army, they perform sometimes violent spells on each other. I would guess PG-13 as it is another somewhat darker tale along the lines of Goblet of Fire. Of course, the MPAA is notoriously arbitrary and obtuse with its ratings, so until they actually release a rating for the movie, anyones guess is as good as mine. Although I think it's pretty safe to say it won't be NC-17 and probably not G.

I'm sure it'll only be PG 13. It's not as if there's nudity or anything. Just a bit of violence.

Um, how old are you. If you are too young to watch PG-13 movies you are definately too young to be using Yahoo! Answers. Twelve year olds are not allowed on hear.
