just make a new short cut for it by right click dragging the program onto your desktop :)

Right click anywhere on the desktop, click properties, go to the desktop tab, then click customize desktop, once you have done this, put a tick next to the internet explorer box found at the top, andpress ok and then ok again, you will now have an internet explorer icon on your desktop.

Right click the icon from the start>programs menu and select send to and then desktop(create shortcut)

Right click on the desktop and left click on properties. Click on the desktop tab and the "customize desktop" button on the bottom. Then you can check the boxes for IE and other stuff you want on your desktop.

If your using XP
go to start, all programs
and when Internet Explorer is highlighted, right click and click on create shortcut

that should solve ur problem
