Call your local VFW hall. Nothing but veterans in that group and I am sure they would love to help.

The Veteran's Hospital off Sepulveda and Wilshire. If not the hospital, I am sure there are several buildings over there that would be helpful. Good luck!

Go to the nearest VFW hall (Veterans of Foreign Wars) or the American Legion.

Look for any of these groups:
Veterans of Foreign Wars
Purple Heart
American Legion
Most will have buildings in the area and can be found in the phone book. I bet you could arrange to meet several of them at their building to talk and ask questions.
Be polite and explain what you want. These groups were created to help share the story.
