McDonalds is all about fun for the kids. Make it educational. Teach them science. Scrunch up the paper wrapper as you pull it off so it is a small compressed paper spring. Put a drop or two of soft drink on it and watch it come alive and move like a worm. Ask the kids why it is moving and let them make worms with their straw wrappers. This is better than pea shooters since a pea shooter may accidentally hit a stranger.

Yeah, rite, my seven year old daughter gets me in the eye every time! We do not go very often tho because she reacts to food colourings and preservatives. Going to Maccy D's is a treat for her, but a nightmare for me about 15 mins after we come out!
I am just glad that she never brings straws out with her, after all that crap inside her, i would be pummelled with them.

IMHO, I think that the paper from the straw is just for warming up with your aim, the more accurate projectiles are the napkins

Have you ever kept a straw in a cupboard without paper on it? It gets hairs on it, grit, grease..it's horrible. The paper does make good ammo though.
