What if they behave mean to their friend (of the opposite sex)? Is it still the same thing?
By "mean", i dont mean abusive; just teasing and like, eventhough they are friends still dont like complimenting or bigging them up in any way.

Yeah it's just bravado, Guy's seem to think Girls want mean, ruff, bad boy types. which some do of course. If they are that way with the guys also, It's just A macho thing, You will never understand men darlin' so don't try to. We are complicated in a simplistic way, basically we want tons of sex, fun, passion and then settle down when we know we are getting to the stage of being old and undesirable, or so we feel. Don't you worry your pretty little head honey, Just enjoy it, soon he'll mellow and then he'll be boring.

No I dont agree with the other comments. When a guy likes you , he is not suppose to make you feel as if he is a mean person. I hate it when my boyfriend calls me names and I do not see it as him liking me at all. I think it's rude. Guys might think it's cute, but it's not. I think guys say mean things because they mean it but don't have the guts to say it seriously.

Yes and I don't know why. Maybe it's because he feels comfortable around you and wants you to know how funny and wonderful he is.
Course there is a big difference between calling someone carrot-top and calling someone Lardass. He might just be an A-hole.

I find I do that if I really find a girl attractive. I don't know why I do it, even while it's happening. I'll say something to get a reaction out of them.
