I was taking the bc YAZ for three months and i only missed the pill like twice, maybe three times. And know im taking yasmin. its basically the same thing YAZ has 0.02 mg of ethinyl estradiol and 3 mg of drospirenone and yasmine has 3mg and 0.03mg of the same stuff. so its pretty much the same thing.

But last night I threw up and have been pukey ever since. could it be from switching medicine. or could i be sick....or could i be pregnant?

Yes, and yes. Ask your doctor if want to actually know.

The first thing you should do is get a pregnancy test. That is always a possibility even if you are on OCP because it is not 100% effective. If you miss the pill even once that increases the chances of it not working. Once pregnancy is ruled out there are several other possibilities.
If you just switched medications in the last two days it could be that your stomach disagrees with a component of the suspension, even if the active components are the same.
Perhaps you ate something that was colonized by S. aureus. this would be something like old cheese, or a cake with dairy products or other pastries. Reheated Fried rice is often a source of B. cereus a bacteria that may cause Nausea Vomiting and Diarrhea.
This could also be due to a viral infection

I wouldn't worry if you just started getting sick- could be anything- a bug or something. However, your body expects to get that pill everyday at about the same time, and if it was recently that you missed the pill, it could throw off your system and make you feel sick- even possibly bleed before your period. Yes, even missing 1 pill can throw you off balance. And if you do miss a pill, don't double up, that will mess you up as well. Just take the normal dose the next day. I doubt you're pregnant, sounds like you have enough of the pill in your system to prevent that. But don't forget to take your pill! Drink some 7-Up tonight or some flat room temperature ginger-ale. That's usually pretty good to settle an upset stomach.

It could be any of those. If you skip a pill then hold off on nookie for that week. And don't mix and match pills. They are not all identical and your body needs time to adjust to the one you are on. So don't mix it up. You will wind up with a big hormonal imbalance and the kind of side effects women got when the pill first came out.

Go see your gyno btw. There's no telling what's up. If you are pregnant, continuing to take the pill would be bad for the baby. So, go get yourself checked out.

Yes you could be pregnant, or you could have a mild case of food poisoning, or even a stomach bug.
