You would have to take it to a coin dealer to find out. They can grade its condition and look it up. Chances are, it isn't worth more than 25 cents, but it is worth at least a penny!

A 1901 penny in normal condition(Good to Fine, readable but can't read the word LIBERTY on her headband), is worth about $1-$2. If you can read the full word liberty, it is worth more, depending upon what condition it is in, (from $3-$50). I have never seen an Indian Head found in circulation that you can read the headband, though, unless someone stole someone's coin collection.

What kind of condition is it in and is there a mint mark on it? Those go into figuring how much it is worth. A quick on-line search would show you that there are several offered on e-Bay right now for between $0.99 and $5.00. You could do a search on e-bay for a 1901 Indian Head Penny and see how it compares to yours.
