My boyfriend and I have been together almost 9 months and I really love him and he tells me all the time he loves me. But we're only 16 and 17 years old. Am I crazy?

I DON'T THINK YOU ARE CRAZY. I THINK SOMEONE KNOWS WHEN THEY IN LOVE NO MATTER WHAT THE AGE MIGHT BE. ASK YOURSELF THIS QUESTION WHO OR WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO DIE FOR? AND YOU WILL GET THE ANSWER YOU ARE LOOKING FOR.

I WAS 16 WHEN I FIRST FELL IN LOVE AND WE STAYED TOGETHER FOR 7 YEARS.

ME AND MY CURRENT MAN WERE ONLY TOGETHER FOR A MONTH OR SO BEFORE WE STARTED TO SAY WE LOVE EACH OTHER. NOW WE HAVE BEEN TOGETHER A YEAR OR SO AND IT HAS ITS UPS AND DOWNS BUT I TRULY LOVE HIM HE IS MY WORLD AND I WILL DO ANYTHING FOR HIM.

SO IF YOU TRULY BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART MIND AND SOUL THAT YOU LOVE THIS SPECIAL PERSON THAN FORGET WHAT EVERYONE ELSE SAYS ABOUT YOU NOT KNOWING BECAUSE THE MATTER AT FACT IS YOU ARE HUMAN JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE AND YOU ALSO CAN LOVE NO MATTER WHAT AGE. GOOD LUCK

No not crazy. You can be in love at that age. The only thing is that you compare this person to what you know to date. and right now they are the best thing ever and you cant imagine anyone else being as good.

However life has a funny way of showing you and more things as you go along. And sometimes you find that what you thought was good isn't as good as it can be.

Love also has to stand up to life's challenges. Being 16 and at home there are not really to many responsibilities to worry about. But as you get older you will have to deal with more things. In teh next few years you will start thinking about a car, a job, and apartment, eww then all the bills that come with them. At that point lifes little stress factory kicks in. For folks in love this either a) strengths things as they deal with the new challenges or b) breaks them as their love was not based on real life but only on the good parts.

The only advice I will can give you is to go with the flow. But keep your options open. Do not allow this to reduce the things you can do but increase them. If it really is true love then it will only grow. IF its not then its one chalked up to experience .

Good luck.

No. If you feel that you truly love this person then there isn't any reason why you should keep it from them. People always talk about how teenagers don't know what true love is, well thats not true because they love their family, and they can feel intense feelings, such as love, toward another person (for instance, the person you are dating). I would go for it. Good Luck! Plus its love....not marriage....just yet.

no way! when i was 12 to 16, i had a great boyfriend. i really loved him. my step-mom would say that i was too young to know what love was, but thats just ridiculous. you may not be together forever, but you know love when you feel it.

Yes. No offense, but at 16, you really don't have a clue about love yet.
