Star appear in all sorts of sizes and colors...red, orange, yellow, blue, white. With all the colors that are there, why are there not any green stars? You would think there would be some right there beween the yellows and blues. I know the classifications have much to do with the surface temperature of a star, but yet no green stars.

Why?

Believe it or not, there are. Sort of. Simply put, because of the way our eyes work, green stars actually appear white when we look at them. For a more complete explanation see the following link.
