Why are there wholes on the ceiling in the bus?

I need to know this for a project.It jgijht is improtant to know .please help!

I dont mean the wholoe on top of the bus i mean in the ceiling there are small tiny little wholes and i dont mean the big whole where people go out of that says exit

the reason there holes in the ceiling in the bus if if the bus is in an accident, rescuers need access in every possible way the bus is lying. for example if the buss is lying on its side and the door and windows are mostly covered how would you get out. or if the bus were submerged in water< think about possibilities
