Technically, the answer to your question is "dead." The Soviets, who were one of the Allied powers, fought their way into Berlin. Although there is still some controversy as to what exactly they found when they got to the bunker, the standard story is that they found the remains of a partially cremated body, that was later identified as Hitler's, in the garden outside.
By the time the other Allied powers, including the British, the French, and the Americans, entered Berlin the Germans had already surrendered and the war in Europe was over. But of course "when [they] entered Berlin they [also] found that Hitler was" dead. That is why I said that "technically" the answer to your question was "dead."
As to how Hitler died, there is little question, based on the testimony of people in the bunker at the time, that he shot himself. It is possible, however, that he also took a cyanide capsule, just to make sure. There are reports to that effect, but they are less well documented.

That is a poorly stated question. The Soviets entered Berlin. The US, UK and France did not. The Soviets found evidence and statements that Hitler had killed himself.
