Yes, it does annoy me. People claim it is easier to write, but it certainly makes it harder to understand. What I find really frustrating is that people treat the entire internet as a very informal environment. In fact, there are many different settings online. A chat room is quite different than a formal discussion group, and both are different than a business environment. I wish people would learn to use a level of language appropraite to what they are doing.

Hmmm... I'd like to know what your answer is moreso because in formal circles, one should not use the spelling "grammer" for the word GRAMMAR. And you'd better not throw stones when you yourself make the same (very obvious) mistakes. Not unless you want to strangle yourself first, that is.

Funny, because you spelled GRAMMAR wrong.
And yes, it does bother me.
Especially when people complain about bad grammar, and then use sentences like:
why aren't people USED good grammEr COMMUNICATING to other people?
which, clearly, should be:
Why aren't people using good grammar when communicating with other people?

Sorry, your grammar was too confused to understand this question - are you asking, "Why don't people use good grammar when communicating with others?"
Perhaps they are rushed, or think that going back and proofreading will take too much time. What was your reason?

Most people feel like chatting online is more like chatting in person than writing a letter. So they use language without proper grammar, just as if they were speaking out loud. Ya know?
hehehehehe

Typical... SMH... how about taking the log out of your eye before you complain about the speck in the eyes of folks on the 'net.

I'm sorry...what? I was too distracted by your misspelling. It's GRAMMAR, not grammer.
