What do you mean by "choose the way you want to die". Are you talking about a virtual reality sim where you can go out in a hail of bullets, die sinking on the Titanic or whatever? Or do you just mean choosing between lethal injection or poison gas? I find the whole idea a bit defeatist really. Instead of having people choose the way they want to die, we should work towards building a better society so that people can choose the way they want to live.

I think so because when our pets get old and cannot get around we do the human thing and put them to sleep. When our family get sick and older and want to die we cannot because its morally wrong. So how does it differ between them and our pets?
