What's his favorite thing to do - or does he stress out at work?! How about a gift certificate to his favorite coffee shop in the way to the office - or a two month membership to a gym....... a 60 minute massage....... something that can't be wrapped in a box but still says I LOVE YOU and want what's best for you :-)

If none of that works - make some great home-made gift certificates for things like - a batch of cookies - a rubdown..... uhmmm... I'm not going to get in trouble here - so - use your imagination!!!

get him a nice g-shock watch, make sure it is solar powered so you don't need to ever get another battery again. they run for about 150-200 dollars... i spent 170 on my husbands last fathers day they may run cheaper now but don't pay more that 200 and i think thats even a little steep... if you are lower on fuds then that get him the newest razor thats out, the precision razor. then get him some blades to go with it they are always handy as the razor itself only comes with two... that will run you about 40 dollars the most depending on how much you pay for the blades...

Does he have a mug warmer for his hot beverages? They come in USB to plug into your computer or standard to the powerpoint/outlet. Not sure how I lived without mine before, drank cold coffee I suppose!
Perhaps not buy him something new, but something that enhances something he already owns?
Then there is always the low cost homemade coupon/voucher book of favors he can ask of you when he really needs one.
ie. Coupon for free listening ears for 1 hour? or Coupon for taking me out to dinner and spoil me with attention?
Get creative!

A charitable donation to a charity in his name. Or, I hear that boudoir photographs are the new thing to give to your significant other. I don't know if that's up your alley, but a good photographer could do a few images for a couple hundred dollars.

My fiance and I were low on cash one valentines day, so we made coupon books for each other. 1 coupon per month, like January you would cook him his favorite dinner, one month you could go with him to watch his favorite sports team, one month he could have a whole weekend of the two of you doing whatever he wants, even if it is the tow of you painting your bedroom!

I gave my husband a poem that I love. I put it in a brass oval frame. I framed our marriage license. They both hang on the wall with a picture of us. I'll share this poem with you. You will like it even if you don't frame it.

Take my hand and walk with me,
across the sands of time;
Hand in hand and heart to heart.
Husband . . . friend of mine.

We will share the solitude.
And walk in quiet peace.
My heart hears what your heart says,
it listens when yours speaks.

We’ve shared hearts and souls as one,
in perfect harmony;
The laughter and the tears we’ve known,
Are the sweetest melody.

For years have brought us to this place.
Across the sands of time;
We’ll walk together, till the end.
Husband . . . friend of mine.

"MERRY CHRISTMAS"

A coupon book..... Make up a book with different coupons... Back message, foot rub, something that you can give him from you heart. This is something that he will be able redeemed from you and only you. Your time will be the best gift you can give him.

A cordless drill. It doesn't matter if he already has one. It doesn't matter if he has three of them. Get him another one. Guys love cordless drills. Nobody really knows why. It's one of the great mysteries of life. Get him a Craftsman. I think Sears may have a nice cordless drill and flashlight combination on sale right now.

you can actually buy a star at the international star registry and have it named after your husband. It is fairly inexpensive. It is a way to give an eternal gift.
