Do Greeks spell Gyros the same way that Americans do since they pronounce it differently? And does anyone know the correct Greek pronunciation of the word?

It's Yee-ros...spelled Gyros. But in all actuality, the greeks call them Souvlaki. A gyro is simply the machine that the meat spins around and gets cooked on. Americans are silly. And I know- I AM one.
