You've got to think about what your preferences are. The worst state for one is the best for another.

I moved to CA 9 years ago. I have been pretty unhappy. I also have friends here in CA who moved from the east like myself who think it is heaven on earth.

Someone I know who grew up here in CA moved to MA and had to come home after a year because they "couldn't stand all the green and the trees." I hate the brown hills here all summer.

My grandmother, who lived with us when I was little, complained every day of her life about the trees in VA, because she was from the flat plains of the midwest which she loved. She missed the big sky.

Ahhh Life!

California - I'm Australian but when i was in L.A. it seemed more like a 3rd world city (I should know i've been to africa) and although San Francisco is a beautiful city the poverty was unbelievable!

Id have to say California. Forest fires, earthquakes, brown mountains, smoggy around LA. Very overrated.

all of them because they all have something bad about them. Like for instance in the gulf region, they are know for a lot of hurricanes.and in cali there is a lot of earthquakes. IT all depends on how u look at it.

Florida- hot, humid, flat and ugly- jobs pay crap and it's expensive to live. And some cities, like Miami, are like a third world nation.

That's very open to debate. It depends on what you're looking for and what type of person you are.
I hate it here, so I say, KS.
