Partially completed download ,?

How can i check if i have a partially completed download.it might explain why my computer has suddenly slowed down,and programme often freezes ,forcing me to close and start again.

go to downloads manager type this in in search your computer you might be able to rerun downloads when computer starts back up , if you are getting booted offline alot

compare the file size of the download to the file size online. If smaller then the download failed. if downloaded from a FTP repository get a checksum program and compare the checksums of the file download with that stored in the FTP directory.
