I am staying at the Orleans Hotel in January, i am really excited to stay there because I hear the service is great and it's more of a local hotel then a Touristy Strip Hotel.
I was just wondering how the Neighborhood is around there at night, i might walk from here to the Strip but I here it's far, and I heard theres an In N Out down the street as well

Just wanted to know how the Area around it is

Thanks

When in january? the reason I ask is that if its during CES, you will be walking with the ladies at night. The cheap ones walk that route instead of cabbing to save money.

The In-n-Out is about a mile down the road. And always busy!!

The orlean's itself is a great Hotel. popular with the locals. has bowling, movie theatre as well as nice people.

Not the worst, but not good. There are rent by the week places in the general vicinity, strip joints, and lots of industrial areas with a few homeless people wandering around. The side street that are west and east of The Orleans are Arville and Cameron, neither is well lit. The walk from the Strip is pretty long, maybe 3 miles. No, it's as bad as the areas around Downtown or near the Stratosphere, but I don't recommend walking the streets around the Orleans, especially at night.

In and out burger is not too far away. I would be careful going out at night. Since it is not right on the strip, the cops are not as visible. I would suggest taking the bus from the Orleans to the strip. I think the Orleans has its own bus that does that instead of just taking the city buses. The Orleans is a nice hotel though.

It's kind of a business district - there's some residences, but it's mostly businesses. The Strip is about a city block away, and In & Out burger is as well. The only thing about walking to the Strip - you have to cross the freeway overpasses, and there's no real sidewalk there....
