Yes, I'm pretty sure you are the only one on the face of this great green earth who doesn't like the new James Bond! You may be forgetting the premise of the movie: This is the beginning of James Bond as 007 -- he's supposed to be different than all the other James Bonds to follow -- he is a work in progress (aren't we all?)

First thing you need to consider, Casino Royale was the first book about James Bond written by author Ian Flemming. The whole book is about James Bond becoming 007.
Second, yes he falls in love, in fact, if you read the novels, James Bond falls in love quite a bit, in fact he got married once.
The problem that I see, is too many people are wrapped up in the "movie version James Bond" and they have no grounding for the actual literary character that was created by Ian Flemming.
Aside from Casino Royale, the last movie based upon one of the originial books was.... The living daylights, and that was a loooong time ago.
Please, before you make up your mind about whether or not the new James Bond is any good, please, oh please, I beg you, go pick up Ian Flemming's novels and meet the real James Bond.

I like it and don't like it. I got board with James Bronson playing him. It is amazing that a man with that face has a body that looks that good. I keep thinking Mr. Craig should have more flab more older looking. The rest of it I like. It's more set to reality.
If u ever really discovered the story line from the old James Bond movies with Shawn Connery you'd discover he was married/his wife died once so thats why he never got close to anyone again. It's sad to think about. I do sort of like the James Bond does love again. But I'm just a gal.

After Sean Connery and Roger Moore I lost interest in any James Bond movies. It's the same old storyline just different characters. double 007 always wins in the end after sleeping with women in the movie. I don't think there is one Bond movie where the agent doesn't sleep with someone. How boring. I'm surprised that Bond didn't get any sexual diseases.

I don't like him.
Even if it is a prequel of sorts, Bond is supposed to be every woman's stereotypical 'dream guy' . Tall, dark, handsome.
I feel the end of the cold war ended the realm of Bond. Who needs a sexy spy in a tuxedo anymore? We're not fighting russians at cocktail parties anymore, we're fighting taliban in the desert.. not exactly a great Bond setting.

The new James Bond has no charisma. He's just a very muscle blond, squared face man. He looks so hard, pierce brossman had a soft touch to him. Sean connery amazed you. The new guy needs to be to gotten rid of.
