You probably have a poor connection in your wiring to your battery terminals. The battery may need to be replaced, or your battery terminals have a build up of oxidization which is green and white in colour. You need to clean them up. If you feel like you can do it yourself, do it or have a professional look at it.

Clean the battery and the connections. If that doesn't work take the battery in to some place like Auto Zone to check the battery. If that is not it you need a professional

Turn the headlights on, try to start the car, having someone watching the lights, if the lights go dim while trying to start it you must boost the battery,if they dont go dim(or off) than chances are you need a starter, If you boost the battery and it starts then look at your voltage guage on the dash if it is around 14 volts then you need a battery, if it is below 14 volts than you need an alternator I hope this helps you!!

Pull your battery out and take it to a local garage or parts store like Autozone. Have them check it, sounds like your battery bit the dust. Check your battery cable ends for corrosion too.

If it were the battery nothing would probably turn on.

Charge the battery or replace it. Clean the contacts too and make sure it's not corroded.
