With all the on line resources available, such as Wikipedia, the "world is your oyster". I'd pick something obscure, like the Maya creation myth or Tibetan myths. Something you, your teacher, or anyone in the class knows nothing about. Learn it, share it, and have everyone amazed! Search Wikipedia for "Mythology".

I would suggest Norse mythology, It is definitely the most intriguing.
Egyptian is boring. You could try Christianity
