I COULD go swimming in the Pacific if I were in San Diego ... but what with horrible pollution from the Tijuana River flowing into it ... and the fact that it is likely very cold this time of year - I would probably refrain.
However, if I were bent on swimming in the Pacific - I would go to Hawaii.

nicely I stay approximately 2-3 hours north of San Diego. i've got been there a pair of cases, for the main area, it quite is a advantageous city. it quite is a substantial city so there will be plenty to do. there is likewise 2 huge universities so a reliable place for faculty-elderly people. particular, you could swim interior the sea yet usually the water is chilly. For expenditures, it relies upon the place you go and purchase stuff. usually water is $a million and ice cream approximately $0.50-$a million based what you get. And a sandwich, uncertain. Do you recommend like subway? probable around $5. it quite is getting warmer the place I stay, so assume to be in shorts and turn flops! with a bit of luck I replied all your questions.

lol! people are making me laugh when they are saying Pacific. Even though they are right...it's funny.
I really wouldn't suggest going full blown swimming in the Ocean...you know how strong it is? Man...maybe you haven't been.
On a serious note...La Jolla is a good beach, Coronado is too, and also Mission Beach. They are all nice places to go...
Have fun!

Pacific, but I wouldn't do it personally, I would much rather go to Hawaii or Bermuda, the water there is so blue and clear!
