i would say that sexuality it not only defined by gender..

there are some scientific research that in can also be brought about by genetic attributes.. hormones..

most of the time, its greatly affected by the environment and personal experiences.. im a lesb.. from kinder to college, i studied in an exclusive school for girls.. so im more comfortable having girls around me rather than men.. im a middle child, sandwiched by 2 brothers i play basketball with.. my dad is my idol.. i believe its a big factor for me but still, its my choice to be like this.. =)

I have to agree with the second responder here.
You didn't make your question all that clear. What do you mean by "performance" and how does it related to your further information about biology and psychology?

If I read it correctly it sounds as if you think being gay is only a cultural phenominon, which I can assure you that it is not. Ever culture, race, religion, socio-economic and education level experiences some percentage of that population as being gay.

There are many many findings and researchings on various hormones (endorphins, estrogen, pheremones), chemical balances/imbalances that relate directly to ones expressive sexuality. It's also part of the personality trait.

Please don't take affront here. I don't intend it that way. To me this question is incomprehensible. It sounds like an honest sincere and serious question which deserves attention. I just don't understand what the question is really asking. Perhaps you could elaborate more with Additional Details. Thanks.
