I just want to hear about one MLM company, just one, where the emphasis is on sales, not on recruiting.

Let me clarify, I am in no way interested in joining any MLM, so don't bother. I am merely interested in hearing if any MLM's exist that actually are about sales, and not a pyramid scheme. And please, don't tell me focusing predominantly on recruiting to make money is not pyramiding.

Mexico4me, i think you need learn what leverage actually is rather than just accepting a term from your MLM buddies.

In your silly example you merely transfered the hours worked to your downline without changing the total hours worked. Suddenly we are to believe that you are still making the same amount of money working no hours yet your downline makes money as well? So because you merely spread the hours worked out among more people the company is paying out more money? Right. Do the math.

This is my EXACT point. MLM is set up with the mentality that its better to make money by recruiting people than it is to work hard.

You are delusional if you suggest that is about sales first. You have said in prior answers that no one sells enough personal volume to make a living without a downline and that is precisely why MLM is flawed. Its about making money recruiting (a pyramid) not about sales. The fact that some product is sold doesn't negate that fact.

Sunny, saying MLM is part franchising is merely MLM tag lines, aka propaganda to justify to the naive.

Think about what you are suggesting. Most people are not sales driven, yet you are telling them its the same as a franchise.

Can you actually imagine a franchise operation that didn't first sell product? Gee, your new franchise is not moving any product, here is the answer, just open up more franchises! Brilliant.

Only in MLM are foolish principals like this accepted as intelligent.

Any company that focuses more on sales than recruiting by definition is not multi level marketing. This is why you never see MLM companies whose main focus is not on recruiting (regardless of what people in MLM will tell you).

Its amusing to hear some of the answers.

"The power of duplication"??? - what exactly are they duplicating. People in MLM are their biggest customers! So, they are duplicating selling nothing and signing up everyone they can think of to sell nothing (other than to themselves) as well. Its funny when you think about how the MLM corporation is set up, they merely make money by having people sign up for a dream who buy all this product of their own. THEY MAKE NEARLY ALL THEIR MONEY OFF THE REPS BUYING THEIR OWN PRODUCTS! The fact that the corporations are doing well is merely a testament to the fact that they were very good at convincing their reps to buy a lot of product.

"My company focuses on 5 areas". Right, but they tell you the only way to make real money is to recruit. Why do you think no one chooses to make big money selling instead choosing to recruit? Because the MLM dream is based on making money by recruiting, not selling product. Sure, you need to meet your minimums, but most do this buying their own product.

What value do store owners give to their employees? Are you KIDDING me??? Its called a paycheck! If its a commissions job, then they earn commission on their sales. Meanwhile, most people in MLM lose money because they don't focus on personal sales.

If MLM was about sales, 90% of the people who enter MLM would never join. MLM organizations are not made up predominantly of sales people.

Absolutely every MLM company focuses on sales. Sales are what keep a company in business. The recruiting part is merely another avenue of moving more product. All businesses stay in business by promoting sales. If they were to choose to market their product in a store, they would have to pay a great deal of overhead, such as the building itself, the utilities, logistics, employees, etc. Because their product is unique, they choose to market their product through representatives, and distribute the money they would have otherwise used for the running of a building into the hands of the people who are doing the actual work. One way to look at it is if I were to do 80 hours of work per week in sales, I would be exhausted. If I found 10 people to each work 8 hours in one week, I have created leverage. That way, you are actually selling more product because it is being done through a group effort.
Some people choose to do all of the sales themselves. That is fine....they are earning a percentage on everything they sell.
Others choose to recruit. That is fine also, they are merely getting help with moving the product and giving that person an income opportunity. Every MLM company I have ever been involved with is sales oriented. Just like any other company, you need to move product in order for the company to stay in business.
What I prefer about MLM to working in a retail store, is when I move product, I get paid in direct proportion to my efforts. When I worked retail, my manager made more than I did, no matter what. If I had a great sales day, I was still paid an hourly wage. In MLM, I receive a percentage which is an incentive to work harder at moving product and increasing sales.
I not only move a great deal of product myself, but others have chosen to do what I do based on my earnings. If they decide not to continue, they no longer get paid. If they choose to work hard, they can receive the same amount I do. It's a choice people have to make.
I have a problem with working for someone else, selling their product, and they get the big cut. Any retail store is a pyramid structure in that the owner makes the biggest cut, the managers make more than the employees, who do all the work. Any store owner will tell you that without employees, they have no business, yet they are not rewarded for their efforts.

But in answer to your question, our company is 100% into moving the product and getting it into consumers hands....just like any sales company out there.

If you are asking about company own agenda, surely there are lot of companies that asks sales and retail. However distributors seems to have different agenda. if they said selling then they will freaked 70% nonsales type people in our society. Network Marketing is a combination of Direct Sales and Franchising. if one want to stay in Direct Sales only (although not recommended by some gready upline) there is no problem. If the product is retailable then direct sales can be great.

MLM can be great without recruiting... if the product is retailable. Customers are great source of money. Recruiting is important if one want to utilize other peoples time and help people by helping themselves. duplicated effort is the most important key on recruiting. Customer can create point value however they may not duplicate.

About MLM Industry i can say...
The more education you have about mlm, less upline control you have on you. Thanks

The reason MLMs focus on recruiting so much is because they realize the power of duplication. I am involved in a MLM type business and there is of course alot of focus on sponsoring but there is also alot of money to be made even if you never sponsor someone, and there is absolutely no pressure to sponsor if you choose not to. shoot me a email if you want to learn about what I am doing no obligation no hassle just some information.

First, I must tell you that pyramid schemes are illegal. My company actually focuses on 5 areas and basically you choose. We have the actual membership sales. We have recruiting. We offer it as a benefit to companies. We can offer it to small businesses and to truck drivers. So, needless to say,we do not just focus on recruiting, it is whatever you are best at!
