I get really really really moody. And thats putting it nicely! I yell and scream about things that DO NOT normally bother me, and its completely UNCONTROLLABLE. Its genetic, my 6 sisters and my mom are all like this, and Midol doesnt work, excersize doesnt work, I eat healthy and take supplements and NOTHING helps. Its killing me and stressing out my husband. Does anyone have any ideas other than a prescription. I dont want to take any prescriptions if I dont have to! Thanks for any advice. angel

Unfortunately I have the same problem, well I did anyway until I went to the doctor and got meds for it. There is a medical reason behind this, and only meds can really help.

Hmmmmm if you don't want to take prescriptions there is really nothing else you can do. My mother use to take Herbal type of medication- but even though you don't need a prescription you still have to be careful.
My doctor gave me a very very light does of Valium- I get really bad PMS but it also affect my insides as well so the Valium helps smooth me and stops my IBS.
I would talk to your doctor about it because you could have tooo many hormones in your body, which is what I have- I have to take birth control or an alternative hormones to keep me level.

Proper nutrition is a help but a woman's natural cycle cannot be sidestepped. It can be made more bearable but I think that's about it. Here, check this title out:

" Back To Eden " By Jethro Kloss

The unabridged, thick version. There may be religious referrences but scantly. The text itself is excellent using natural remedies with a full explanation of the herbs listed.

I don't personally believe in vegetarianism exclusively, so, this should be taken with a grain of salt.

Too, look up homeopathy generally. As well as the following;

I have severe PMS, and it's no joke. I smoke cannabis for mine, and it helps a lot. If she doesn't want to do that or if it's not an option where you live, the best thing I can suggest is to just be supportive and kind. And maybe try and stay out of her way as much as possible during that time of the month.

I take B complex for mine and it helps me but if you are already doing that you should talk to your doctor about serotonin re-uptake inhibitors like Prozac and celexa. They work well. I used to take celexa 2 weeks of the month before I found out about B Complex helping and was able to stop but it really did help. Good Luck.

OH my goodness you poor soul!!! I've never experienced anything quite that bad but I do have to say that dark chocolate REALLY can help a sour mind ;-) It's not THE answer but it's a heck of a nice band aid!!!! Good luck sister!
