Because the cast SUCKED! And the writing was awful. The only reason it was so popular is because the majority of Americans are idiots with low IQs.
By the way, Scrubs sucks too.

Friends was an awesome show. My boyfriend and I both watch it all the time (because there is very little decent tv right now) on DVD. Not a day goes by that one of us doesn't quote the show. How old are you? We are in our early 30's, and can totally relate to situations on Friends. I think younger people just don't get the humor, so they trash the show.

I don't know, lets just be thankful that they aren't making that crap any more, it was the worst 10 years of my life!!! Ross and Rachel being on a "break" was stretched out into a running joke for 7 of those 10 years, it was complete sh*t. And Chandler - Could he BE less funny? O h yeah and we get it, Monica is a neat-freak, and Joey doesn't share food. The only one remotely funny was Phoebe. But I prefered Ursula, they should have had her in it more.

i have no idea! but i couldn't agree with you more! i HATE that show! i thought it was absolutely horrible after the 5th season... and it wasn't that good before then either! i have no idea how it lasted so long... or why people actually watch it! it's because of "friends" fans that awesome shows like arrested development and scrubs aren't making it out there!
