Can anyone tell me what he did as his job in the story sleepy hollow by washington irving.. im look =ing for like policies of any kinda any information will be useful all i have is that he was a school teacher from connitecut and his famous saying spare the rod spoil the child.

He was a school teacher. In the original story he is a highly educated schoolmaster who travels from home to home teaching young children.
In the recent Johnny Depp movie he was a cop.

besides beinmg a school teacher. I knmow he was connected with Johnny Appleseed.
