I take birth control pills the 21 day kind(Orth Tri cyclen) and one day I did something stupid. On the week i'm supposed to have my period I always have it on Tuesday and stop on sunday when I take a new pack of pills. Well i dont see my boyfriend alot and I wanted to have sex with him so I got my period on Tuesday and on wednesday I tried to stop my period by just starting a new pack of pills and I took two pills a day to catch up on what I missed. I had sex with my boyfriend unprotected and he said he though he might have came in me just a little bit before he pulled out but probably not. Then I waited and got my period and on the very last day of my period Sunday morning I had sex with my bf and he climaxed in me. Shortly after I started showing signs of pregnancy. I feel exhausted all the time. My breast hurt but have not grown any bigger and I feel nauseus. I am also constipated and have had the worst headache for a bout three days now. I even ran a low fever. Any ideas?

It sounds like your hormones are off-kilter, either from the pill altering or possibly pregnancy.
Since you altered your pill taking, you definitely compromised its effectiveness. Please continue taking the pill until you've had a chance to take a pregnancy test. If it's negative, wait a couple of weeks and take another one to be sure.
For future reference, if you want to have sex while you are bleeding, have your boyfriend wear a condom because there's a small possibility of getting pregnant during your period, and sperm can live for days. If you don't like to deal with the blood, wear an Instead soft cup. People use them like pads or tampons, but they have the advantage of holding the blood in without anything noticable to you or your boyfriend. Put a towel down if you're afraid of making a mess.
If you are pregnant, please find someone you trust to talk to so you can make the best decision. Best of luck to you.

It may just be the stress of the event and the pressure of you thinking you are pregnant..but go to the clinic and get the morning after pill. If i has not been more than 48hrs (i think) after. Other wise ask about the time.
They will probably then tell you to wait a week because pregnancy takes a while to be registered by the pregnancy test, then come back for the test. They will check again in another week. But please whatever you do see a proffesional that you trust.

I think you are feeling ill because you doubled up on your birth control pills. I wouldn't do this again, it isn't good for you. That's way too much hormone to flood your body with.

All of these symptoms could be caused by too much hormone. Since it doesn't sound like you missed even a single day of your pills, and if anything, that you took way too much, so you are not likely to be pregnant.

Take a test to be sure, though. Buy First Response brand, its the most sensitive, at any drug store & let us know how it comes out.

The only sure way to know if you are pregnant is to take a pregnancy test. Most tests will not register pregnancy until 4 days before a missed period, but you are more like to get a positive result. More likely, if you doubled up, you aren't pregnant, but it is possible.

I have found that I often have phantom symptoms when I am thinking about it. Plus the symptoms of pregnancy are just like the symptoms of PMS at the beginning.

let monte help you with this. I'm an Rn in obs with over 17 years
experience.
first- don't worry
second - the only real issue here is either your pregnant or your
not.
third- go to your doctor or clinic and find out if your pregnant
and how to get back on your cycle if your not.
forth- always concider an uncovered penis dripping sperm
even if there was no orgasm.
fifth-constapation although very anoying, is not a sign of
pregancy. try a mild over the counter laxitive and if that
dosn't work, let your md make the next call.......Monte RN
sixth and most important. if your preggo the only cure is to
cook some spagetty. my e- mail is soundviewtues@yahoo.com

You probably aren't pregnant if you took extra pills. I would start a brand new pack this Sunday and take them according to instructions for the entire month and then take a test if you don't start on the appropriate Tuesday.

How long ago was the last time you and you bf had sex, because those symptoms usually don't appear until your're 5 wks, so you would have already missed your period. Anything sooner is probably your period coming again, because I got all those symptoms right b4 my period. Which is why I was surprised when I found out I was preg, the symptoms were the same.

I agree just go to the dollar store and take a test for a buck. Most likely you are not pregnant though, just hormonally messed up from screwing with your pills...lol. I am a nurse and I highly doubt you are pregnant since you have kept the actual orthotricyline in your system the entire time.

Go get a test!! Who knows, you might be and you might not be! If you don't want a baby, stop playin russian roulette. I did and wouldnt you know? It took 9 months, but then I came up preg. I didnt take the easy way out, but most people do, so stop testing the water unless your ready to be a mother!

listen to nicsgirlu, take the test. There is a possibility. trying to double up on the pills doesnt work. If its been more than three wks the test should be accurate. when in doubt see a dr.
