HELL YES THOSE PEOPLE ARE IGNORANT!!!!! if they didnt like the show then they could easily leave, not heckle. im not saying what he did was right i just think it is being blown way out of proportion. if a black comedian would have been up there and gotten heckled by white guys he could have made all the comments he wanted and we wouldnt hear anything about it. michael richards shouldnt be the one taking all the blame, and i feel sorry for all the heat he is taking for one bad moment in his terrific career. and anyone who feels that he is the one who is completely to blame i invite you to get on a stage in front of a group of people, take it seriously (as richards does), and be heckled as he was and not retaliate.

That was ugly. I saw the video clip on youtube.com and Michael Richards lost it. Yet, comedians are always heckled. They should be used to it. I guess Richards hadn't performed stand up comedy for a while and wasn't used to the comedy club environment. In fact, there is on Seinfeld episode where Jerry gets heckled by a drunk friend of Elaine. Seinfeld is quick in his comebacks to put the heckler in his place. Richards just wasn't witty enough to handle a situation that all professional comics should be able to handle.

I do. Yes Micheal Richards made some bad statements, but the guy in the audience was just egging him more and more. the more the guy said stuff to Micheal the more pissed off Micheal was getting. The guy in the audience should have been thrown out. Micheal has apoligized for making those racist statements. Whether people choose to forgive and forget is their own thing. I wasnt' too happy with the statement he made either but sometimes people say stupid things and regret them after. WE're ony human and everybody makes and says mistakes ya know?

Of course not, hecklers have been a part of being a comedian for decades. Most comedians are known for their comebacks when they are heckled, that is usually when they are at their funniest.

he was heckled? where's your video proof? the black guys say they just came in late, ordered drinks and sat down. interesting how people assume he was heckled.

to phantasmo: no they didn't admit to heckling. watch the video yourself: http://youtube.com/watch?v=BQ5R2NLI_NY

how can you just make that up? are you insane? these racist people are just making up lies. yes i agree the lawsuit is b.s., people should be allowed to say what they want, but the fact remains that richards is a racist, plain and simple.
