Hi. I'm 16. Well my older sister just moved out and has gone to college and all. But before she left, she helped me clean the room up and my mother had the carpet men shampoo the carpet. So that's just left with decor. I've got everything in there except for a computer.

Should I get a Desktop w/ the Flat Screen(I think that's it or something) or should I get a Laptop and why? I heard that Laptops go out quicker that Desktops. Is this true?

At your age you will be far better off with a desktop. They are less expensive, an if you take good care, will last you alot longer then a more expensive laptop. The fans are larger and will keep the desktop cooler. The fan in a laptop is very small and they can heat up quite quick.

Laptops are good if you travel alot and need to use the internet.

If you get a flat screen desktop, make sure that the flat screen has the ability to turn off 100% and not remain in a "sleep mode". I notice they burn out quicker when kept in a sleep mode.

Get a desktop. I have a desktop at home. Then I have access to computers at work and at school so I really don't "need" a laptop. Desktops are usually cheaper too.

Laptops are are as fast as desktops but you have to know what your buying the hardware side of it. For the money I would go with a desktop easy to upgrade laptops are not so easy to upgrade. But this depends on the hardware that you have.
