I interviewed for entry level audit associate, am chinese, speak perfect english, excellent grades, and plenty of extra-curricular activities in leadership positions. But, it was no surprise to me, that even though I did well in all my interviews, I did not get a call back for a second or third interview. The reason is "I am not White". Now people say that it does not happen anymore. It may not happen to labor type jobs, but it does still occur in management and "executive" type jobs, which this position is, since you have direct contact with clients in representing the "Firm". I don't subscribe to affirmative action, my method to deal with white racisism is to beat the crap out of whitie. I just landed a job with an international CPA firm, I don't see any "whitie american" domination in this firm, so that is how I can make it, recognize the whitieboy, and go somewhere else. I am not going to let whiteboy ruin my goals in life. This "I am not a racist" rant by whitieboy is lie.

As a white person let me tell you this, if a chinese person who speaks perfect english, excellent grades, etc came into to my office looking for a job, I'd hire him in a heart beat. The general opinion about chinese people is that they're IQ level is higher then most people. Maybe it wasn't the fact that you're chinese that you didn't get a call back, but rather it's because you have a lot of anger and issues, and you're a racist. Stuff like that can show up during interviews, regardless of how much you're trying to hide it.

Is there any possibility that there was someone better for the position?

The reason I ask this question is because as a black woman I have to tell myself over and over again that because the population on Earth is huge, I just might be competing against hundreds with the same or better qualifications.

I won't dis-count your feelings, because sometimes you get a feeling in your gut when you're talking to a racist creep and wasting your time during an interview. In those cases you take the anger you feel and go out and start your own business. But will you do the same as them?

Your statement is more racist then the white folks I know. I am so tired of this double standard. One comedian uses the n word and Jesse Jackson calls for "everyone" to stop using that word. Okay, tell all the rappers and black comedians, and blacks neighborhoods to stop using the word. I hear more black people use the n word more then white people. Maybe you were not what they were looking for. If I don't get a job I don't say, they didn't hire me b/c I'm not blonde. You are no diff. then anyone and you are the only one separating yourself. Stop the double standard. You say "whitie" and make your outlandish rants and you have no idea if someone more qualified came along.

Sorry your RACIST attitude doesn't wash. From your post I can tell you do NOT speak perfect English and you never stated exactly how many other applicants were also competing for the job. Your, "poor me the white man is keeping me down" cry is nothing but bitterness at not getting the job you wanted.

Your life is already ruined by the racist attitude you bring to it. You need some serious counseling.

Maybe they didn't like they way you drop the definite article in most of your sentences. It doesn't exactly sound professional.
