In all seriousness, take one tablespoon of caster oil. You'll be in labour soon after.

Although the best thing is to wait, I understand it's hard. Those babies will come when they are ready, and anything you do "before" that makes you have the baby is just circumstantial. (My daughter was born at 41 w 5 days, I know how you feel!)
BUT here are the things you will hear about that help:
* Sex (with ejaculation, because it's the sperm that helps with softening the cervix)
* Walking up and down stairs carefully - my doc said this will help open up the pelvis
* Eat pineapple (fresh, not canned)
* Ride in a bumpy car
* Nipple stimulation - brings on contractions, but can be dangerous because it can bring them on FAST
Other things, such as herbs and oils, are not healthy because they can dehydrate you or cause complications to the baby!
Good luck with the birth

Hey!! You are almost there!! I know those last weeks are the worst... They take forever. Keep doing what you are doing and don't be too excited yet. Pretty soon you will be tearing your hair out from all of the crying... lol. I noticed a lot of people answered with sex. Sex is one way because orgasms can start contractions and sperm softens the cervix. Also nipple stimulation can help those contractions too, it also sends a chemical from your brain to start contractions. And also I have heard of women trying laxatives but I think it can be dangerous. Any tips you ever get are worth looking into before you try them for the well being of you and your baby!!!!! When I had my first daughter my water broke bending over to get a bottle of water for the bottom of the fridge...lol... Hope this helps and gives you some encouragement.

Having sex will help you dilate.
But if you're not going into labor it may be because the baby just isn't ready. When the baby is ready to come out you will know. Don't force it, everything happens for a reason.
I know it sucks to be that pregnant, but embrace your belly and soon you will be a mother
Good Luck and Congratulations

Your water better than in all probability broke... in case you've been status & it became a sluggish trickle, toddler's head is performing as a 'cork' and that is blockading the uterus. in case you're taking a seat or lay down, you could note extra fluids leaking out. Amniotic fluids have a tendency to small sweeter than urine (which smells extra like ammonia). in case you do Kegals, does the bypass provide up? If no longer... your water definately broke. i'd evaluate attending to the medical institution, asap. reliable luck & congrats!

I really don't know if it's true but I've heard sex helps, besides all the walking of course. By the way I admire everything you are doing I hope I can be the same when I get there, I'm only 28 weeks.

I did so much stuff! I walked like crazy, had sex, drank cumin tea, ate spicy stuff, tried the basalmic vinegar salad dressing that is supposed to do wonders. I think they are concocted to keep us busy! Some things work for some people, some not at all. Just relax, have fun trying all the crazy stuff and it will happen when it happens!!

I used castor oil with my first son....had him about 15 hours later. It could cause just alot of discomfort though if your body isn't ready. With my second, I did nipple stimulation, I think it was 5 minutes for every 20??? don't remember, but about 18 hours after I started, I had another baby.

Go for a very very bumpy truck ride. I mean very bumby. Like in a monster truck, or something similar. This will induce labor. Just not too far from the hospital.

An old wives tale says take a ride on a bumpy road, eat spicy food or have sex.
Best of luck to you
