Despite anyones opinion of the nazi ideals, we cant deny history exists. Many historical events have a dark side and are not subject to censorship.Could this be panderring to the politically correct? As the public have had more anti nazi propaganda poured upon them.
Its still a form of censorship. If we are better than the nazis shouldnt we prove that being open and unrestricted is a virtue?

The sale of Nazi paraphenalia bearing the Swastika is prohibited in France and Germany. Ebay and Yahoo was threatened with lawsuits in these countries so the prohibited them from being offered. Exempted were coins and books. However, you can list the item if you cover the swastika, SS or related symbols with paper or photo editing software.
Ebay and yahoo's decision was business related. It was not their idea becasue they make/made huge money of the sale of militaria but stood to lose more if they were banned in Europe.
I might add that Yahoo went even further and under pressure from Red China they block people from inside China from seeing pro-democacy websites.

I agree with banning e.g. facist parties like they do in Germany. Free speech is ok until the maniacs take over the asylum.
Having said this, my family have some bizarre Nazi stuff that was sent to them at the time by European friends. Nazi quartet anyone? I'll raise you Eichmann over Speer... you think I'm joking don't you? Whilst it would be nice to sell this off at a reasonable profit, you wonder about the people who collect such materials. My dad once had a friend who showed him a Nazi shrine, despite knowing my dad has some Jewish roots. This is so damn peculiar. I can only conclude facists are generally thick as ****.... let's face it, we're not talking Lenin and Satre here... the clever ones get attracted to socialism and the thickies to facism...

Yeah like one is connected to the other. Ebay is expressing it's opinion about the sale of Nazi materials, it doesn't want to. So what's your problem? I wish I could say how I feel about the Nazi's in free speech right here and now. But someone who doesn't like free speech would probably complain and say I was expressing hatred towards Nazis. Political Correctness would strike my statement down. Ah what the heck, I think the Nazis committed some of the worst atrocities in history and if it were up to me, I would burn every bit of Nazi material that I could. How do you like free speech now?

It is true that eBay does not allow listings for Nazi items, but there is more to it than eBay's policies.
There was an outrage in multiple countries over items considered to "promote or glorify hatred, violence or racial intolerance, or items that promote organizations with such views (e.g., KKK, Nazis, neo-Nazis, Skinhead Aryan Nation)..." listed on eBay.
"As the eBay community expands around the globe, we are encountering different laws and different points of view as to what constitutes illegal, offensive or inappropriate items," said Mike Jacobson, eBay General Counsel. "Given our expansion, as well as feedback we've received from our users, we reviewed our policy and concluded that these changes are appropriate."
Read the rest of the article in my source list for more information on this eBay policy.
Take care,
Troy

This is the second question you have posted, that I have seen in the last ten minutes; where you accuse YaHoo of censorship, whilst I always have an open mind about such things, I would like to ask you what proof you have of this. If you have some then post it as your source. If you do not have proof and it is just hear say, then in fairness, you should state that also. People would be far more likely to take sides if they knew exactly what the truth is.

Ebay is a business and as such has the right to withold the sale on anything it likes, I'm sure you could find loads of Neo-Nazi sites by googling them if you really want to, and buy / sell any old thing you want.
Maybe you might want to look at this first though.
