When we fight its always over stupid things and make up. We don't have any real problems that we need to "work on". We are each other's best friend and it's so easy for us so why can't everyone just appreciate their partner and share a love like we do?

I love my husband more than anyone loves theirs. We are perfect even when we aren't, if that makes any sense. I couldn't imagine waking up to any other face or holding any other hand for the rest of my life!!!!

You are not alone. Most people only talk about or ask questions when they have problems so you don't hear about all the good relationships out there. My husband and I have the best relationship. Yes, we still disagree and laugh later, but our foundation is strong and we believe in one another. Sometimes people get married for the wrong reasons. There are too many bad reasons to count really. When the relationship doesn't start with the right foundation, the relationship will crumble. In this day and age women don't respect their husbands, which is how we show them love, and men don't love their wives enough that they would die for them if necessary. When each partner in marriage gives 100%, thinking of their spouse first, then the marriage is bound to last a lifetime.

Best friends... That's what marriage should be. I've been madly in love with my husband for 6 years. We've only been married a year and a half of that, but I certainly know that it's going to last till we're both wearing dentures and depends. That man of mine chased me over 3 continents, refused to let me go when I was diagnosed with a chronic disease, even after I asked him to, he even proposed to me when I was so sick I looked like a skeleton with a little bit of skin stretched over it.

We've had our fights, but we always work them out, and any big issues we had we already knew about before we got married and had pretty much solved them or decided to live with them before we even considered tying the knot.

I LOVE being best friends with my husband, there really isn't ANY feeling like it in the whole world. He's always a shoulder to cry on and a friend to laugh with and person to share my dreams. I could never love anyone else in the whole world, not after him.

I am so glad you feel the same way about your wife. Here's to your 50th anniversary and beyond!!!

Aw, that is sweet. I hope you can keep that love forever. Im sure you can. I think we have to meet our "soulmate" and rarely people do, they think they have but they havent.
And, alot of people take for granted the fact that there spouse is there day in and day out. And they start to neglect them, thinking that they will always be there. Its sad.
I think alot of men and women truly love each other, Its just real rare these days.
You have like the Ideal marriage, so hold onto it with everything you have, and if a problem ever arises, take care of it immediatly, and hold each other close and dear to your heart. Dont ever let it slip away...

I agree with you...I have always thought that if a relationship was that hard, and so much work, then it must not be right.

Good luck and many more years with your wife!

You have found your soul-mate! Many of us haven't been that lucky. Give her a big kiss and let her know everyday how much you love and appreciate her. Live happily everafter!

I also share a "true love" like you do. My husband and I will be together forever. Even when I am mad at him, I still love him w/all my heart.

Because not everyone is so lucky! I love my wife, and you described our relationship perfectly. I don't think we have ever even yelled at each other - if we disagree we discuss. Just consider yourself very lucky! (oh, and show her your question...she'll love it)
