Compare/Contrast ideas?

Question

I need to find a topic(shall i say 2 topics) for a compare and contrast essay, but nothing sounds right. any suggestions?

A few topics are
Two of your favorite bands. Compare them to each other
Two of your favorite movies.
Two of your most desired car makes/models.
Two of your favorite movie stars.
Two different breeds of cats or dogs or horses.
Meat eating vs. Vegan diets.
Knitting vs. sewing.
Mac vs. IBM clone computers

Which ever subject you decide to choose the easiest one will be the one you know something about. ALWAYS write about what you know and write it in a way that you are telling someone who has never heard about your subject before. The words will come easier for you and the form will be easier to follow.
I use an outline of a thesis statement followed by the opening paragraph.
Three or four supporting paragraphs, then the closing statement which starts the closing paragraph.
(The closing statement supports your thesis statement bringing the reader back to the beginning, giving a nice wrapped up paper.)
