One of my favorites was Kurt Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse Five"...it may seem a bit strange at first..about a young man who witnesses the bombing of Dresden, Germany during WWII, then ends up in a hum-drum life with a wife he's not even sure he loves...then comes the cool part...he gets abducted by aliens and gets put in a "zoo" with a famous actress....really a good book.
