it will be ten years this dec 14.in fl.is it required to sell house and split proceeds 50/50?when buying the house put the 20% down on the house myself.Ive heard that w/ten years a wife could stay in the house with child 6 until the child was 18 anybody now if thats true? This is my sons home he was born here and I just windered can we stay or do we have to sell,im not in the position to buy him out of his half of the house what do i do?

Well he went to Mom's. He would have a hell of a time trying to kick you and the child out of the home. He has a resposibility to both you and the child.............

First contact a lawyer. If he left, get sole possession of the house as he is the one that left. Go from there. Different state have different laws.

Get an attorney, and don't be cheap about it...spend the money now on a good attorney, or lose it later without one.
