As to whether or not it's any good-- I will say it's entertaining. It surely isn't very complex. It lacks intuition. I read a bit of everything(some htings more than others-- I weep when I think of contemperary authors. Besides running with scissors Augestun has two other books out which are somewhat entertaining-- Dry and Sellevision. Both can be read in a few hours. There good to read when you are feeling down. But I'd stay away from any of his new stuff.

This book is totally twisted. As mentioned above, a lot of sexual content, and some really dysfunctional family relationships. It is 320 pages long and not very difficult to read. There are some memorable characters and great writing but I did not like the lack of resolution within it.

I am hoping the movie is much better!

I read a lot (I guess you could call me a book worm) and I thought it was awful. I definately wouldn't call it challenging unless you are trying to understand how the characters became so dumb or why the police didn't show up at their house everyday. It's not that long but unless you just love crazy, off the wall, kind of shocking because it has a lot of graphic homosex in it, then I wouldn't recommend it.

I read it. It was all right. It contains alot of sexual content. Its not very long. You should read it to give yourself a perspective of how other families live.
