Mine was at 18 weeks... he was a boy. With a girl you may have one that early, but they may want to have another a couple of weeks later to make sure.
Good luck

The window to find out starts at 16 weeks, but there is a greater possibility of not being able to tell the gender at the point. You are better off waiting until 20 weeks or even later. There is some research that shows that boy parts often don't drop until close to 20 weeks, so it is more difficult to tell the difference before then.

Thats truly a decision that in straight forward words you and hubby can make!! My hubby and that i determined no longer to be sure - exceedingly for the "suprise" We ended up being instructed at our 19week ultrasound (even tho we didnt ask). when I instructed the tech i didnt favor to carry close, she stated she change into in straight forward words 80% constructive besides.....this were given us very curious and we gave in and requested at our next ultrasound -22weeks- and were instructed a lady! because of subject matters i had yet another ultrasound at 27weeks, and requested back as we were instructed 2 diverse genders - and were shown we are defiantely having a lady!! It wasnt any a lot less of a suprise - a wonder truly!! My husbands relations is ALL boys, so we assumed we will be having a boy. Its truly effective understanding we are having a touch lady - we are much better prepared now. i might want to definately discover out back with my next one - it doesnt damage the suprise, you purely get it some weeks earlier

My first was stubborn and didn't uncross her legs until I was 8 1/2 months pregnant but with my son I found out at 19 weeks ... any sooner than about 18 weeks is really too early to tell.

Well for my first one we didn't find out. With my second one we tried to find out but it was 19 weeks and they said it was too early to tell because they weren't 100% sure. Then with my third child I was 22 weeks and it was quite obvious. It didn't take too long during the ultrasound to find out. They tend to be able to tell boys easier than girls.
