i am moving to blackpool next year and need to get a job there. thought it might be fun to work on a pier or at the pleasure beach. has anyone worked there, if so what is the pay (and benefits, if any) like? and is it fun or is it as boring as working in a quiet office?

First of all Congrats - Blackpool is great. If you are not a British citizen you will need a work permit, if you have that, the pay may not be great, but you get at least 4 weeks vacation/yr in England. Like most jobs, unless you really enjoy it, it can become boring.

Minimum pay in the UK is now 5.76 in UK pounds.
