because she as a celebrity, performer, artist, she always reinvented herself to create new buzz about her, whether it be bad or good...she invented the concept...
now all the other Madonna wannabes (Paris, Britney, etc.) do the same thing, but they have made some bad choices, so people turn at look at Madonna, and she is the biggest star out there, and basically say she is doing bad also...
people need to grow up...she was never the greatest singer, but she is the smartest, since she has been able to stay on top all these years.
Oh and people love her. She the biggest person out there, so people are interested in her, whether they admit they like her or not.

You have a point when you say she's one of the biggest out there. The bigger they are, the harder they fall. I like her, but have always felt she's over rated. Some people I know act as though she's a God. She's just a pop singer to me. No offense to her fans, but there are more talented and more important people in the music business. And she's made some horrible movies. Overall i like her though, I really do, but when your that big, people will always take shots.

Personally, I like Madonna. They need someone to diss, so they are picking on her at the moment, and it could be all 3 of your suggestions, plus JEALOUSY.

You know..I ask myself that all the time.
instead of people saying "Oh..what a good thing that she wants to share her wealth with people who need it"..they target her and talk bad about her. It blows me away. My guess is that she has A LOT of money and people's jealousy just naturally comes out.

I don't mind her music, I just don't need to hear about her personal life and wierd views all the time. I'm sure she'd be happy if everyone just stopped paying her so much attention in general, other than artistically.

It's because she has made a career of making herself a self-serving s l u t.
She peaked with "Like a Virgin;" she should have stayed one. Then again, in order for that to happen, we would have to travel in the Way-Back Machine all the way back to when she was 10.

it is because in recent years she has become very fake and her music is not as good as it used to be. the media always needs a target. she maybe adopting an african child, but now she thinks shes an upperclass, country, english lady. its like they say theres no news like bad news, and the media make anything big and bad to sell.

they are clearly narrow minded and are just jealous of the success of the queen of pop. Watched her live performance tour on sunday of her new album it was off the hook.

I dont diss her. I love her music.....especially the "ray of light" album. "frozen" what an amazing song :]
